Happy Friday Everyone! Today I am so excited to introduce you to Hanselmann Pottery! I first layed my eyes on their beautiful pieces at a farm down in New Mexico and knew I had to get my hands on some of their pottery.
Heres a little back story. The Hanselmanns were a husband and wife team (she threw, he glazed) who sold mostly locally. All of their work is thrown by hand on the wheel in Corrales, New Mexico... "The difference in quality is clear... It takes years and years of experience for a potter to be able to throw in a production setting, and that experience and talent can be felt in each and every mug, plate or bowl. We do not mass produce our work. We make it by hand and with care, one small batch at a time." Says Glaze Technician Esther Fredrickson.
I had the pleasure of collaborating with Jessie from Faring Well on this shoot! Please do yourself a favor and go check out her work! She makes incredible food and her blog is a beauty! Aspen also made an appearance with their awesome dog bowls. He now eats out of them everyday and is living the dream. :)
